Global Comm Talk Series: Chat with visual artist Jay Hofmann-Forster

Jay Hofmann-Forster is a Visual artist, curator, producer, Co-founder, and Artistic Director of Clockenflap Festival. His latest project, Minimax, is a mobile and modular theatre experience which blends large-scale rolling sets, live music, visual and performing arts – transforming transitional time and liminal space into moments of collective encounter. Minimax is supported by the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme and premiers at Clockenflap from 5th-7th December 2025.

This artist talk introduces the genesis of Minimax, the funding application process, creation, hopes and dreams, fabrication, challenges, and the concept of liminality and how we take inspiration and operate within this space.
