The School’s 60th Anniversary Celebration – Mega Event

The 60th Anniversary celebration Mega Event of the School of Journalism and Communication, was held on 1 November 2025. Four former faculty members, including Professor Paul Lee, Professor Lo Ven-hwei, Professor Jack Qiu, and Ms. Yuen Chan, were specially invited to return to the Humanities Building for a warm reunion.

The Mega Event featured a series of exciting activities to welcome alumni, including a Mobile Theatre performance directed and performed by alumni and current students, a “This This Rice” dinner gathering where teachers served food to alumni, and an evening show showcasing the talents of JLMers across generations.

The Alumni Association General Meeting was held in the same evening. The new cabinet was elected: President Chan Loh, Vice Presidents Ms. Lorraine Chan and Mr. Stephen Chung.
